The Race is open for all yachts with LYS-rating equal to or above 1,15, and the fleet will race in the following classes:

- LYS-classes
- Mini 6.50
- Multihull
- Onetype classes if minimum 5 yachts register

Simrad OneStar starts and ends in Fredrikstad.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Race 1: Start in Fredrikstad. Coastal racing in the outer Oslofjord area. Racing time will be approximately 8-12 hours. The course will be announced the day before.

Race 2: Start in Fredrikstad, then around the Väderöarna to Arendal.

Race 3: Start in Arendal going back to Fredrikstad. The race course will be adjusted according to the weather conditions and will be 24-30 hours long.

The starting fee is NOK 2500. The money will not be refunded. Payment is done by electronically charging your creditcard at registration on www.simrad-onestar.com.

All participants will receive a set of the Simrad OneStar 2007 collection, and the starting fee covers four skipper dinners and harbour costs in Arendal and Fredrikstad.

The race is open for 60 yachts, of which 10 are reserved for non-Norwegian citizens. The registration opens on the 15th of January and registrations that receive registration number 51 and higher will be put on the waiting list.

Simrad OneStar is a challenging solo race, in which the same person must complete all races. The skipper must be above 18 years old and must be able to document sufficient ocean shorthanded experience. Please see Notice of Race for further information.
