The Norwegian west coast stages the Zoom8 World Championship 2013
Ran Seilforening in Bergen invites you to WC 2013.
Experience six race days in the scenic fjords of western Norway. August may give changing weather, light nights and great sailing conditions. All this in a breathtaking landscape.
The races will take place from Ran Seilforenings harbour in Straume, Sotra in Fjell municipality. From the racing area to Bergen city it takes appx. 30 minutes going by car. In Bergen you can experience the fish market and UNESCO-listed medieval Bryggen, take the Floybanen cable car and enjoy the fantastic view over Bergen city and experience famous composer Edvard Grieg’s home at Troldhaugen.
Programme:
Day 1 Thursday 1 August: registration, measurements
Day 2 Friday 2 August: registration, measurements, tune-up race, and
opening ceremony
Day 3 Saturday 3 August: race 1, 2 & 3
Day 4 Sunday 4 August: race 4, 5 & 6
Day 5 Monday 5 August: race 7, 8 & 9
Day 6 Tuesday 6 August: race 10, 11 & 12, price ceremony
Day 7 Wednesday 7 August: spare day
